London Chinese Association successfully host “2016 Respon night · London Spring Festival” event at Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School auditorium on January 23, 2016. New Provincial Lawmaker Peggy Sattler, London Mayor Matt Brown and hundreds of people arrived at the scene and celebrated Chinese New Year 2016 together.

Provincial Lawmaker Peggy Sattler gave her best wishes to all of the people by using Chinese. She was very happy to celebrate the arrival of Chinese New Year of the Monkey with us, and she also expressed her thanks to all of the staff and volunteers who make a great contribute to this event and the community that can bring us exciting cultural entertainment.

London Mayor Matt Brown said that it is a great pleasure to get together with several municipal government members to take part in the party. Chinese community holds activity to celebrate Spring Festival every year. It is an excellent event to make community and the culture become more diversified in London, and he believed that London will become better in the New Year.

As the president of Respon Financial Group, Ms. Liao said that the Respon Financial Group has a close contact with Chinese community, and involved in the Chinese community affairs extensively. On the same day, Respon Financial Group celebrated the Spring Festival with other 13 cities’ Chinese together in Canada, including Vancouver, Prince Edward Island, etc. she also expressed her best wishes to all of the people in the New Year.

The dance named “Tage dance” was performed by London Chinese Association, Which pulled up the prelude of the party. In addition to the Chinese traditional dance, the program also including bands playing, children’s dance, children’s chorus, female chorus, humorous sketches, hulus solo, Chinese zheng, solo and chorus. Furthermore, Waterloo Philharmonic and song lovers from London sang the songs that make the party atmosphere to the climax. With everyone’s effort, the Spring Festival was held successfully.

省议员Peggy Sattler首先用中文祝大家新年快乐，她很高兴和大家一起庆祝中国猴年春节的到来，并对为本场晚会做出贡献的工作人员和大量志愿者致以谢意，感谢大家为社区带来精彩的文化娱乐节目。

伦敦市长Matt Brown表示，很荣幸能够和多名市政府议员一起参加这个晚会，猴年很快就要到来，伦敦会在猴年发展得更好。华人社区每年都会举办春晚庆祝春节，多元文化社区使伦敦变得更加强大。

瑞邦金融集团总裁廖子蔚女士在致辞中表示，瑞邦密切联系华人社区，广泛参与华人社区事务，在加拿大13个城市设有分公司开展业务，当天，瑞邦在温哥华、爱德华王子岛等多个城市，瑞邦均设有会场，和当地华人一起庆祝中国新年的到来，希望大家在2016年越来越好，祝大家在新的一年里心想事成、万事如意。

由伦敦华人协会舞蹈俱乐部表演的舞蹈《踏歌起舞》拉起了晚会的序幕，除中国传统舞蹈外，还有乐队演奏、儿童舞蹈、印度儿童舞、儿童合唱、女生小合唱、幽默小品、葫芦丝演奏、古筝演奏、独唱及大合唱，由屡获殊荣的滑铁卢爱乐团与伦敦歌友爱好者共同演唱的《赶圩归来，阿哩哩》和《香格里拉》将晚会气氛带向高潮，拉下了本次春晚的帷幕。
